Apps like Beli: DishDelish rates the dish, not just the restaurant
If you've been ranking restaurants on Beli and keep wishing you could remember what to actually order when you get there, this is the difference between the two apps.
What Beli does
Beli is a social restaurant ranking app. When you add a place, it asks you to compare it head to head against restaurants you've already logged, and works out a relative score from those choices, closer to a chess rating than a star rating. Around that it builds ranked lists of where you've been and where you want to go, a map, a taste profile, and a feed of what your friends are eating.
It is genuinely good at what it is for: deciding where to eat next, with your friends' opinions weighted more heavily than a stranger's one-star review.
What DishDelish does instead
DishDelish starts one level down. A restaurant isn't good or bad: the pasta was a 9.3 and the tiramisu was a 4.6. So instead of ranking the place, you rate each dish in the meal, add a line of why, and let the overall score for the visit work itself out.
That changes what the app is useful for. Beli tells you where to go. DishDelish tells you what to order once you're sitting down and the menu is in your hands.
It is also private by default. There is no feed, no followers, and no leaderboard. It's your own diary of what you ate, which some people want and some people very much don't.

Which one fits you
Stay with Beli if the point is discovery and comparing notes with friends, and a single score per restaurant is enough for you.
Try DishDelish if you keep having the other problem: you're back at a place you liked, staring at the menu, and you cannot remember which of the four things on the table was the great one. Per-dish ratings, your own notes, photos, and a map, with nobody watching.
Plenty of people run both. Beli for picking the place, DishDelish for remembering the plate.
Rate every dish, not just the meal. Free on iPhone and iPad.
