Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
1. Your agreement with us
These terms are a binding agreement between you and DishDelish (we, us), which operates the DishDelish app and the website at dishdeli.sh (together, the Service). By creating an account, buying anything, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms, to our privacy policy, and to the plan details shown on our pricing page and in the app at the time of purchase, which form part of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract where you live. The Service is for your personal use.
2. Your account
Give us accurate information, keep it current, and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including changes made with the AI features at your request. Tell us promptly at hello@dishdeli.sh if you believe somebody else has access to your account.
3. Your content
Your Content means the reviews, dish names, ratings, notes, places, dates, photos, instructions and other material you add to the Service, and anything generated for you from it. Your reviews are private to your account: we do not publish them or show them to other users. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to add it, including any photo of another person.
You keep your rights in Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, with the right to sublicense to our service providers, to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display and adapt Your Content as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support and improve the Service, to enforce these terms, and to comply with law. The licence continues for as long as we hold the content, including in backups and records we keep under the privacy policy.
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them for any purpose without obligation to you.
4. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence provided by third parties to turn your instructions into changes to a review. AI output is generated by machines and can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected: it may misunderstand you, invent a detail, or change something you did not ask it to. It is a suggestion, not advice. You must review it before you save it, and you are responsible for what you save.
A Pro subscription pays for access to the AI features, not for any particular result. We may change the models and providers we use, and may limit how much the AI features can be used, at any time.
5. What you may not do
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- store or upload sexually explicit material, material that exploits or endangers anyone under 18, or material that promotes violence or hatred;
- store payment-card numbers, passwords for other services, government identification numbers, or regulated health information, about yourself or anyone else;
- harass, impersonate, deceive or defraud anyone, including us;
- access another user's data, test or bypass our security or usage limits, upload malware, or interfere with or overload the Service;
- scrape the Service, automate access to it, reverse engineer it, copy it, or use it to build a competing product; or
- resell the Service or its AI features, or use them for a commercial purpose we have not agreed to in writing.
We decide whether content or conduct breaks these rules.
6. Review and enforcement
We may review content and activity, by automated means or by people, to operate and secure the Service, support you, and enforce these terms. We have no obligation to monitor anything, and we are not responsible for Your Content.
If we believe content or conduct breaks these terms or the law, or creates risk for anyone, we may, with or without notice, remove or disable content, restrict a feature, suspend or close an account, preserve evidence, and report conduct to the authorities. To ask us to reconsider a decision, email hello@dishdeli.sh.
7. Complaints about content
If you believe material stored with the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, email hello@dishdeli.sh with your name and contact details, the work or right concerned, where the material is, why you believe it infringes, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We may forward a notice to the account holder, remove or disable the material, and close the accounts of repeat infringers. An account holder who believes material was removed by mistake may reply with the same details and an explanation, and we may restore it.
8. DishDelish Pro and payment
DishDelish is free to use, and the free plan has no time limit. DishDelish Pro is an optional paid subscription. Its price and features are those shown on our pricing page and in the app at the time of purchase, and may vary by country and currency. We may change prices and features for future purchases and renewals at any time.
Pro is sold through the app store you subscribe in, such as Apple's App Store, which charges your account and handles billing. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the price then in effect until you turn off auto-renew, and you authorise the app store to charge you at each renewal. You must turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of a period to avoid being charged for the next one. The app store will tell you before a price increase applies, and ask for your consent where its rules or the law require it.
You can cancel at any time in your app store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep Pro features until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. When Pro ends, your reviews stay in your account and the Pro features stop.
Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods. Refund requests for app store purchases are decided by the app store under its own policies. If a payment is refunded, reversed or disputed, Pro features end for the period concerned.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We may change, add or remove features, limits and providers, and may suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, or the Service as a whole, at any time. We do not promise any particular availability. Features we describe as beta, preview or experimental are provided as they are and may change or end without notice.
Online services fail, and content may be lost or corrupted. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything that matters to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, such as hosting, AI, sign-in, app store, maps and place-search providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their terms or what they do with information. Place search uses Google Maps services, and by using it you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
11. Our intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and branding. These terms give you only a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service as they allow, and we keep every right they do not expressly give you.
12. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your app store account settings.
We may suspend or close your account, or stop providing all or part of the Service to you, at our discretion and for any reason, including a breach of these terms, risk to the Service or others, a legal requirement, or long inactivity. Where it is reasonable, we will give you notice first. If you were closed out for breaking these terms, you may not open another account without our permission.
When an account is closed, its content is deleted and any remaining paid period is forfeited, except where the law requires otherwise, though copies may remain in backups and records as the privacy policy describes. Every clause that by its nature should survive the end of this agreement survives it, including those on content licences, payment, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service, its AI output and everything provided through it are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults. We disclaim every warranty and condition, express or implied, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that content will be preserved, or that place information or AI output will be accurate. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
14. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor our suppliers or service providers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, data or content, however caused and even if we were told it was possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for DishDelish Pro in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arose, or it is permanently barred.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory, including contract, tort, negligence and statute. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so some of this section may not apply to you.
15. Your responsibility to us
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless DishDelish and its owners, contractors and service providers against all claims, losses, damages, penalties and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, actions taken under your account, your breach of these terms, or your violation of the law or of anyone's rights. We may take control of the defence of a claim at your cost, and you will cooperate with us.
16. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Saskatchewan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the law of the place you live gives you a right to bring a claim there that cannot be waived.
Before starting a claim, you agree to email us a description of it and to try for 30 days to resolve it with us informally. To the extent permitted by law, claims may be brought only individually and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative proceeding.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms by posting a new version on this page. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your obligations, we will also give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect, unless a legal or security reason requires it sooner. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, you must stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
18. Apple App Store
If you got the app from Apple's App Store, these terms also apply, and they prevail over anything else in these terms for your use of the app on Apple devices:
- These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store Terms of Service and its Usage Rules permit.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or anyone else relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If anyone claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated by it as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless data provider's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and on your acceptance of them, Apple may enforce them against you.
19. General
We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of networks, hosting, AI or other providers, attacks, government action and natural events. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the fullest extent possible and the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, the privacy policy and the pricing page are the entire agreement between us about the Service and replace any earlier ones. You may not assign or transfer this agreement without our written consent; we may assign it, including as part of a merger, reorganisation or sale. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship, or gives rights to anyone else except as section 18 says. You agree to receive agreements and notices electronically. If these terms are translated, the English version governs.
20. Contact and notices
Questions, complaints, legal notices and content reports go to hello@dishdeli.sh. We send notices to the email address on your account, and they are received when sent, so keep it current.
